London, United Kingdom, 6th August, 2021 – EfficiencyIT, a specialist consultancy in data centre design and build, edge computing and IT services, has today announced it has appointed Steve Henson as its new Senior Data Centre Architect. Steve joins the company following a 30-year tenure in the data centre industry, working directly with public sector, colocation, and enterprise organisations to design and build energy efficient mission-critical infrastructure systems. In his new role Steve will work collaboratively with EfficiencyIT’s growing customer base to help data centre owners and operators in the enterprise, life science and local government spaces implement power, energy efficiency and cost-saving modernization programs, while consulting on new design and build projects.
His experience includes a number of sales, marketing, account management and engineering roles at several high-profile tech organisations, including APC™, Chloride Telecom Systems, Eaton, Power One Energy Systems, Schneider Electric and Vertiv. Further, as an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer, he will also help EfficiencyIT’s customers gain a better understanding of practical application of Uptime Institute Tiers, overcoming design challenges and constraints to help them achieve Tier-certified, resilient data centre systems.
Having begun his career as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) service engineer, Steve’s career has seen him span the length and breadth of mission-critical systems. To-date he has worked directly with enterprise customers as a trusted advisor, completing complex power, plant and engineering installations and implementing advanced Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software solutions that reduce stranded capacity, lower costs, and reduce carbon emissions.
